I think, we all agree, that 1 day in Los Angeles is not enough. But there can be a situation, when we don’t have more than that, just like me in my one-week trip. In one week, I squeezed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, and Yosemite National Park. In LA, I took a sightseeing bus to go around the city and see as much as possible in 24-hours. I show you the 5 places, that I liked the most and I believe these are the most popular places.
1. Hollywood Walk of fame
2. Beverly Hills – Movie Stars’ homes
Luxury cars, luxury homes and luxury stores everywhere. Probably you will see more Ferraris and Bugattis, than anywhere else in the world. You can take a particular bus tour, where the guide tells you all the secret of the famous people’s houses and their lives. Beautiful homes, palm trees, and sunshine everywhere. I loved watching these amazing buildings and streets full of luxury.
3. Santa Monica Pier,
west of Los Angeles
An awesome beach and pier with thousands of tourists and locals. In my opinion, it’s a must-see if you are in Los Angeles. If you have some extra time, you can go to the rollercoaster or Ferris wheel and enjoy the view from a higher place. The beach here is pretty crowded, but you can find some free spots farther away from the ocean. If you are not a beach person, you can just watch the surfers and the huge waves hitting the coast.
4. Chinese Theater
A beautiful building, especially if you get to see it in the night time when the lights are turned on. Amazing light shows are entertaining the visitors. This theater capacity is almost a 1000 people, but try to book your ticket in advance, because the seats are sold out very quickly. (Up-to-date info: You can see Avengers: End Game in IMAX 3D experience. 2019.04.29.)
5. Hollywood sign – Los Angeles most-pictured spot
We all know this from the movies and pictures. It is quite a challenge to get close to the sign or have the best view of it. But you can find special tours, that’s taking you to the best spots to take nice pictures for your Instagram feed.
Most definitely one day is a very short time for this huge city. If I have a chance I would like to go back and spend more time in this beautiful, amazing city of the United States.
